Early Season River Flow Update 2011

Rafting flows on the Arkansas river in Colorado reached 900 cfs today. This looks good for our May 27th Opening day. Snowpack in this drainage is very high and promises a very exciting river season.

The Rio Chama weekend flows continue to be dependable, and agency cooperation with weekend flows make the Rio Chama full day a great bet. Levels on the Rio Chama may run weekdays as well this fall as irrigation demand increases.

Rio Grande flows remain low at a typical mid summer level. We're starting to see some snow melting a few days upstream, so...

Keep your fingers crossed.
