The Rio Grande Float Half Day

Fantastic half day float!
“We picked the half day Rio Grande float since it was a first rafting trip with 3 kids (7, 9 & 11) and us parents are outnumbered! We all loved it! Baby rapids (but the boys loved it), they got to swim in the river – a highlight for them – and great guide. A really good time!”

Family Float Trip
“My family went on the half day Rio Grande Float with Kokopelli. The staff and our guide were all very friendly and knowledgable. It was my four year old daughter’s first time, and she enjoyed it very much. The river was running slow at the end of July with only a few “rapids.” Just right for a beginner. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a rafting company in the Santa Fe area.”

If you’re looking for a relaxing trip through a beautiful volcanic rock canyon with a few mild class II rapids thrown in, the half-day Rio Grande Float is for you. It is a perfect trip if you are not sure about the whole whitewater craze and want a mellow introduction to moving water. We will float past beautiful hillside springs, perhaps view ancient Indian art, look for wildlife and talk.

Your Kokopelli Rafting guide will ensure you have a memorable and educational scenic float trip down this beautiful river canyon. There are opportunities to swim in the river on warmer days.

This trip can be done in a paddleboat or an oar-powered raft, allowing you to simply sit back, relax, and take in the sights. Minimum age on this trip is four under most conditions.

Inflatable kayaks are available at most water levels.
